I'll admit it, I am a total geek for boardgames. I can not tell you how glad I am that I now have a 13 year old son that actually asks for boardgames for Christmas as much as his father does now! This year, Santa brought this little gem to our home from Gamewright Games called Pyramix. I kid you not, it rocks. You should also know that we are huge fans of the Gamewright line of family board games. And this on, in my opnion is probably one of the most impressive ones to date! It will take you about 3-4 minutes to learn how to play and then up to 4 players are off and playing.
First things first, would you look at that pyramid! That is actually made by picking up blocks in your handfuls, and dumping them on the base. Somehow, the pyramid magically forms without any assistance from you. AMAZING! Seriously, it is pretty mesmerizing.
Next, you all take turns taking one block off the pyramid and scoring points based off of what you pull. In addition to this, you can't pull pieces that are touching cobras, and the crosses are kind of score multipliers for whoever has the most of that color. Great stuff! My family has already played this quick little 15 minute game probably 10 times in 3 days. I can not recommend it enough! Here is the link to finding it on Amazon as well!
