WOW! Walt Disney Actually Did Kill His Mother On Accident!
I can't believe it! When Walt Disney finally found major success from his first feature film, Snow White, he bought his mother a home. Good so far. But then, the house had major heating and ventilation problems. So much so, that his mother actually died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Supposedly, Walt felt so horrible about it, this is why so many of Disney's films involve the loss of the main character's mother. So sad.
The Beatles Were Actually Supposed to Have Starring Roles In Disney's the Jungle Book!
Did you think those vultures in the Jungle Book looked an awful lot like the fab four? That is because the Beatles were supposed to play the parts. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, the Beatles had to drop out. But, it would have been amazing, right?! Now it is just a snazzy piece of Disney History.
What?! If you Blinked, You Missed This Huge Toy Story 1 Character in Toy Story 3!
Look closely at the picture above. Do you see the Toy Story 1 Character? It's Sid! The villian from Toy Story 1. He had a very brief cameo in Toy Story 3 all grown up. I guess Sid really made something of himself in later years!
Worst News Ever for the Indiana Jones Franchise!!! Or is it ...
Yes, you are seeing that right in the pic. That is Robert Pattinson as Indiana Jones. Today's rimor mill is in full force that Robert Pattinson is the frontrunner to take over the franchise as Indiana Jones in order to make it more approachable to a younger audience since Disney has taken it over. Wow. I am dumbfounded. I can only hope this proves to be false. On the positive side, it will get the franchise a lot of attention again. I guess we will see what happens. Yuck.
Angelina Jolie to Do This Last Movie before She Retires
This mornings news is reporting that Angelina Jolie, the star of this weekends number one movie Maleficent, is planning on retiring. Supposedly, she has stated that she will play the final role of Ckeopatra before retiring as an actress to peruse her passion for Humanitarian aid. If this is true, what a good example she is of someone who uses her powers for good! Very impressive.
Toddler versions of Disney's Ursula and Maleficent
My 10 year old daughter was fascinated by these. I wonder if these queens of evil and villainy were so bad when they were little. No way right?
Don't see Maleficent in 3D! Here's why:
There is nothing worse than loading my family up in the minivan (it's a big one) paying 60 bucks (I have 6 kids!) to see the latest and greatest wonder on the big screen in 3D only to find out the 3D is terrible. Well the review is in. Save your money on the 3D version of this one. Sure it gives you more depth of picture, but nothing hardly pops out at you or the kiddos. In essence, the thing that makes 3D fun is absent from this movie. Don't disappoint the kids. Take them to the cheaper screening and buy an extra bucket of popcorn (or 3 in my case:)
