This is Nintendo's Next Big Character
The shooter is one huge genre that Nintendo has never really tried to develop on its own. This is Nintendo first attempt in a while at a new character in a new genre. Sure it would have been more safe to have Mario do a shooter, but perhaps the Inklings will be a beloved character for generations to come? Hmmmm. We'll see on may 29th when the game releases!
Nintendo's (Video) Preview of the New Tracks for Download in 3 days for Mario Kart!
My kids are waaaaaaay excited about these new tracks. they have become obsessed with Mario Kart 8! They are most excited about the Baby Mario track that is just a round track. Haha!
This is By Far The Best Part of Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Edition
So I have had the privelege of taking a look at the new Marvel Disney Infinity game for the Wii U and I have to say I was quite impressed! really, let's get the title of this article out of the way first. What do I like the best about the new Marvel line in Disney Infinity? The same thing I liked about the original Disney Infinity: The character sculptures. Is anyone else seeing these things? They are beautiful!
Seriously, what adult Marvel fan would not love to have their favorite Marvel character sitting on their desk at work?
Great art is interpretation. I don't think I would be as impressed if they were exact replica's of the character's from the comics or movies. I just love these cartoonized versions!
Plus, when you feel these little works of art in your hand, they are heavy and solid, which really makes them feel way more important than a silly piece of plastic. And they are! We will talk about the game later, but for now, just applaud with me how great these little guys really are. On a side note: Daredevil, and Deadpool, you will be mine!

Better than Skylanders and Disney Infinity: Nintendo's Bid for Figure Based Gaming
At E3 this year, Nintendo had a lot to prove. It has been getting killed this go round of the console wars. So, they decided to do something the other two aren't. They decided to go after the kids even harder. Really, in terms of gaming for kids, Nintendo is always the only clear option. Kinect made me try Xbox 360 for my kids, but what a lesson in frustration that turned out to be. The Kinect bearly worked for adults, and for kids it was a complete nightmare. Not to mention 98% of games on the 360 and PS3 were rated M. So, we went back to the Wii. Well, we haven't been able to jump into the current console gen (just too expensive when compared to games on ios or android). I will admit, Nintendo is pushing hard to get my kids to notice them. My kids adored Skylanders and kind of liked Disney Infinity (it stunk on the Wii - but my kids liked the idea). So the idea that they could play one of their all time favorite games (Smash Bros) with some of there all time favorite characters is very cool. The even better news is that Nintendo is planning on the kiddies being able to use these characters across other games as well. Nice Job Nintendo. Even if you have no other games for your system anymore, you'll always have your own brilliant franchises!
